With summer frequently touching 40 degrees, September provides the optimal weather conditions to do multi-day, long-distance rides. Alongside the weather, the multiple well-defined, well-equipped, bike paths in southern Europe make optimal destinations for a lifetime of memories.

Whether you choose the German-Austrian flat roads along the Danube, the colorful vistas of southern Tyrol, French roads along the Seine, or Mediterranean roads in Spain — Any of these is a great place to start bike-packing even as a beginner.
