I think the burden of being “evil" might be exclusively human, without any evolutionary advantage, because what merit is there to “knowing" the bad and evil? Why do we know the meta? The “illness" of an intent is known only to us, to the Bonobo, the world is a little more clear, I suppose.This is one question this book does not answer.
The idea that all behaviour is genetic is indeed comforting. Glad you bring up the story of Sisyphus, because really, no matter what humanity does or what progress it makes, I think “being Sisyphus” about sums it up.
