5 Terrible Values American Media Spread to the World

Casual violence is funny

Tom and Jerry, Sylvester and Tweety mysteries, or the Roadrunner and Coyote are all super-funny childhood stories that I thoroughly enjoyed.

As children, it is impossible to tell that there is something wrong with their message. These shows have an underlying message that violence is somehow, “natural justice”. It carried an inherent message some people are inherently evil and they deserve a lot of pain.

After experiencing the German aversion to violence in their everyday talk and action, watching such shows now makes me cringe. Admittedly, it is ironic that Germany invented blood-curdling fairy tales that involved children getting boiled.

Teenagers are Difficult, Annoying, and at times, Disgusting

In American movies, schools are full of bullies, evil teachers (except the protagonist), and mean girls. Teenagers are rude to each other and their parents, they are stupid and drive cars over cliffs. Teenagers do anything in the name of love or only to get laid.
